T-Hub app ("App") is built for Toshiba Tec Malaysia Sdn Bhd ("TTMS") customers as a Free app. This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information prior to utilisation of this App/Service(s).

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our End User Licensing Agreement, which is accessible at this App unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collected

This App only collects the necessary personal information from the user for the purpose of enabling the user to use the Service(s) which include full name, personal email address/ personally identifiable company email address mobile phone number, permissions to access users' device (contacts; camera; microphone; social media accounts; approximate location permission (continuous)); cookies; usage data, log data.

Users are to be responsible for any third-party personal information obtained, published or shared through this App and confirm that they have the third party's consent to provide the personal information.

How TTMS use/process user's information

The usage and processing of user's personal information are for the following purposes:-

(a) To enable users to utilise the App/ receive Service(s);

(b) For improvement/maintenance of App/Service(s) provided to users;

(c) For the purposes of our company's branding, communications and corporate affairs;

(d) For statistical analysis;

(e) To conduct background and reference checks to verify the information provided to us;

(f) For security and fraud prevention purposes;

(g) Usage/processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which TTMS is subject; and

(h) Usage/processing is necessary for the pursue of legitimate interest by TTMS.

User may refuse to provide the required information though by doing so may prevent access to certain Service(s) that the App provides.

What information does TTMS share?

In principle, TTMS does not disclose or provide users' personal information to third parties, except in the following circumstances:-

(a) with express consent from users;

(b) to comply with legal obligations or court orders;

(c) such disclosure is required by third party providers engaged by TTMS ("Third Party Provider") to facilitate, perform, provide on behalf, analyse the Service(s) in which case such disclosure of personal information will be covered by the terms of a non-disclosure agreement.

Security

TTMS is committed in ensuring the confidentiality, protection, security and accuracy of users personal information made available to us. It is users' obligation to ensure that all personal information submitted to and retained by us are accurate, not misleading, updated and complete in all aspects. For the avoidance of doubt, TTMS and/or its subsidiaries, associated and affiliated companies, both local and international and/or its employees or authorized officers or agents will not be responsible for any personal information submitted by users to us that is inaccurate, misleading, incomplete and not updated.

Retention of Personal Information

In accordance with our data retention policy, in the event any personal information is no longer required for the App/Service(s), the personal information shall be destroyed and/or deleted from our records.

Links to Other Sites

This App/Service(s) may direct users to another third party link, website, network or resources ("Third Party Platform") and TTMS shall not be held responsible for the content, security of such Third Party Platform. Users shall agree to and abide by the terms of use of such Third Party Platform.

User's rights

(a) Users may at any time after the submission of your personal information, obtain access to the same information by way of written request to Human Resources and Administration Department.

(b) Users may contact us at PDPA2010Inquiries@toshibatec.com.my if you have any inquiry in relation to our Privacy Policy or your personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

TTMS may at any time revise the terms of this Agreement without prior notice to Users. Hence, users are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
